If you watch videos or play music out loud on a United flight, you could now face serious consequences.

United Airlines quietly updated its contract of carriage on Feb. 27, allowing the airline to refuse transport or permanently ban passengers who don’t use headphones when listening to audio or video.

The airline says the rule reinforces existing etiquette as more passengers stream content onboard — especially with expanded Wi-Fi like Starlink.

Bottom line: headphones are no longer just polite — they’re required.

A new study by travel insurance company SquareMouth ranked the world’s riskiest destinations for solo travelers — analyzing 113 countries based on safety, healthcare access, infrastructure, internet reliability, and local sentiment.

Venezuela ranked No. 1 most risky, scoring 9.74/10 on the risk index, citing violent crime concerns and limited medical infrastructure.

Peru and Gabon followed.

For comparison:
The U.S. ranked 37th.
Mexico ranked 16th.

On the safest end? San Marino.

If you travel solo, risk awareness matters.

A historic shift may be underway.

For the first time since the Great Depression, the U.S. experienced negative net migration — with more people leaving than arriving.

Beyond deportation policies and visa restrictions, a quieter trend is emerging: Americans relocating abroad for affordability, safety, and lifestyle upgrades.

From remote workers to retirees, a growing diaspora is studying, investing, and settling overseas in record numbers.

For some, the new American dream starts outside America.

✈️ Ever heard of “Airport Theory”?

It’s the trend where travelers show up at the airport at the last possible minute — no sitting at the gate for hours, no wasted time… just straight to boarding.

New rankings reveal which U.S. airports actually make this risky strategy possible 👀
Some are so efficient you can cut it VERY close.

Would you try it… or is that a guaranteed missed flight? 😅👇

Over 40 million people are under blizzard warnings as a “top 10” historic winter storm batters a 700-mile stretch from Maryland to Maine. Governors across New York, New Jersey, and Rhode Island have issued strict travel bans, with NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani barring all non-essential travel until midday Monday.
The Impact: Whiteout conditions have caused over 10,000 flight cancellations through Tuesday. Ground travel on I-95 is described as “nearly impossible,” with over 22 inches of snow already recorded on Long Island and parts of New Jersey. Additionally, over 500,000 residents are currently without power due to high winds and heavy accumulation.
Forecast: Heavy snow and coastal flooding are expected to continue through Monday evening. Airlines hope to resume limited service by Tuesday as the storm begins to taper off.

Major U.S. and Canadian airlines—including American, Delta, United, Southwest, and Air Canada—have officially halted flights to Puerto Vallarta (PVR) and Guadalajara (GDL) as of Monday, February 23, 2026.
The Situation:
• Airport Gridlock: Hundreds of flights have been canceled after cartel members established road blockades and set vehicles on fire near major airports.
• Diversions: Multiple flights were forced to turn around mid-air or divert to the southern U.S. for safety.
• The Motive: The violence is a retaliatory response to the Mexican military’s killing of “El Mencho,” the head of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.
Traveler Resources:
Airlines have issued travel waivers, allowing passengers to rebook or cancel without fees through late February. The U.S. Embassy has expanded its shelter-in-place order to include tourists in several states, citing “ongoing criminal activity”.
Status Check: While major hubs like Cancun and Mexico City remain unaffected, travelers in Jalisco are advised to remain indoors and avoid all non-essential movement.

• Suspensions: All taxi and ride-share services in Puerto Vallarta are suspended, and some businesses have temporarily closed.
