Christian nationalists are the ultimate bait and switch. They claim they want to protect the children, but what they really want to do is raise a generation where women continue to be subservient to men. They say they want to raise boys who are strong, but they really want to ensure men are able to use violence, manipulation, and control in the name of God. They’ll have you believe that you need to fear what they call the culture wars, and scare their congregations into thinking Satan is lurking in the shadows, ready to pounce at any “temptation” they may feel... But the real evil is coming from the pulpit, and now they want to be on a national stage with official seats in government to continue their agenda. This was never about God, this was about small men who will seek power at any cost.

Talking Juneteenth with my kids ✨ as someone who had never heard of Juneteenth in adulthood 🫠 I was really intimidated by this conversation! I misspoke a couple of times and had to go back and check what I was saying was the right thing. Don’t let that stop you from having these conversations with your kids! I was so glad to know that their teachers had taught them about this already and impressed that my first grader even had a good idea of what it was!
