Hawk said “justice” as what he’d bring to the family day then quickly changed it to fairness🤣🤣

When we were done i said, “look at this beauty and this sky and this ocean- it’s wild ppl think God doesn’t exist- who else could have made this?”

I didn’t learn this stuff growing up 🤣🤣 All my kids have had this exceptional education from St Mark & St Matthew Catholic Classical School in shoreline. Like it blows my mind the difference in education they get when it comes to the catechism even vs what I was taught. In my Catholic school, religion was a subject and done! Where they attended its integrated into all subjects. Helps that my oldest has a brain for everything! If you live near North Seattle and want a Catholic school that’s accepting of everyone but won’t lie to you, and is unapologetically Catholic… St mark, shoreline is it 💜💜

Father Stanley Rother was a farm kid from Oklahoma who almost flunked out of seminary. God used him anyway. He served his people in Guatemala, learned their language, translated Scripture for them, and when his name showed up on a death list, everyone told him to stay home where it was safe. He said the shepherd cannot run. And he went back.

Watching this as a family opened up conversations with our kids that no dinner table lecture ever could. What does it actually look like to say yes to God when it costs you something? Our 10 year old is still talking about it.

Here’s the thing though. American Martyr is only in theaters for THREE days, August 25th through the 27th, and then it’s gone. If you’ve been wanting a movie that’s actually worth leaving the house for, one that will grow your kids’ faith instead of just entertaining them, this is it.

Take your family. Bring the tissues. Let it start the conversation. 💛
