Sara has three favorite things: Fireworks, Seabrook and Robby. All three were present and made for a truly unforgettable celebration this past weekend. Seabrook holds special meaning to S+R as it’s where they’ve spent a lot of time together, not to mention it’s where they got engaged. So it totally made sense to say ‘I Do’ there too.

We had such a blast documenting the party and hearing about their love story. From an early morning stroll through town to the fireworks show at the end of the night we got to be there for it all. Here’s a little glimpse of the good times! 🎇

One of the most common questions we get from couples is: “Are there any things I can do to make my wedding film extra special?” First of all, your wedding film is already special because it’s all about you and your day - as long as you show up and say I Do well handle the rest ☺️ BUT over the years, we have found a few things couples can do to give their film a little extra awesome ✨

1️⃣ BE YOURSELF
This is the most important one. We value authentic, candid moments. You don’t need to pose or act, the genuine moments will always be more interesting. So just be you!

2️⃣ DETAILS & DECOR
The details of the day play a big role too. The venue, scenery, and decor can add a lot to the story of the day. I’m not saying you have to go overboard and break the bank on this, but it’s always special to find ways to decorate the venue in a way that is personal to you.

3️⃣ SHARE PERSONAL VOWS
We love when couples tell us they will be exchanging personally written vows during the ceremony. These add so much to the flow of the film and give us great dialogue to use throughout. Afterall who else to better tell your live story than you!

4️⃣ HAVE FUN
I know there’s a lot of stress leading up to a wedding day, but we always tell our couples that once the day arrives just let it happen and enjoy every minute. If you’re having fun, the energy of the video will reflect that, and vice versa. It’s your day - remember to make the most of it!

5️⃣ PLAN A SUNSET SESSION
On of our favorite things to see on the timeline is a small chunk of time set aside for a sunset session with photo & video. This doesn’t have to be long at all - even 15 minutes gives us enough time to get those gorgeous shots at the end of the evening.

6️⃣ DANCE FLOOR PROPS
A trend we’ve been seeing a lot over the past couple years is using fun props of the dance floor. Anything from glow sticks to bubble guns to light up cowboy hats! These not only look awesome on video, but also give guests something fun to use.

7️⃣ PLAN A SEND OFF
There is no better way to end the night than a grand exit. We’ve seen sparklers, glow sticks, bubbles, and even just a tunnel of people. A high energy way to end the night!
