We’ve hit the home stretch: just 10 games left in the 2025 season. The Yankees are red-hot, owning the best record in baseball since their mid-August series loss to Houston. They’re in prime position for home-field advantage in the Wild Card Round.
The division may be slipping with the Blue Jays still surging, but as Yogi said, “It ain’t over ‘til it’s over.”
🔹 Matchup Tonight: Yankees vs. Orioles
These two will get real familiar—seven of the final 10 games are head-to-head. With Toronto falling to Tampa and Boston dropping a series to Oakland, the door is wide open for the Yanks to capitalize.
🔹 On the Mound:
Max Fried (NYY): 17-5, 3.03 ERA, chasing his 18th win and lining up to start Game 1 of a potential Wild Card series. After battling through midseason struggles, he’s locked back in with a 1.95 ERA over his last five starts.
Cade Povich (BAL): 5.05 ERA, allowing some of the hardest contact in the league. The Yankees’ lineup, stacked with lefty killers Goldschmidt, Judge, and Bellinger, will look to feast on his low-velo fastball.

O’s counter with seven righties, rookie Samuel Basallo catching in Adley’s absence.
