The smell of campfire wafting among lofty ponderosas. Footsteps crunching through old snow and bouncing on springy pine needles. Friends clinking tin mugs of Oregon beer, raising a “cheers” to the mountain air. These are the scenes at The Suttle Lodge Winter Beer Festival, which returns for the seventh year Friday, Feb. 20 through Sunday, Feb. 22.

Located just 14 miles west of Sisters, Oregon, this event is a great addition to a weekend of skiing, snowshoeing and other alpine adventures. More than 25 breweries will be in attendance, and there will be food and live music for further entertainment. Kids are free (they’ll love the hot cocoa and hot apple cider), well-behaved dogs are permitted on leash, and there are designated driver ticket options with NA drinks included.
