Oceania Cruises this weekend debuted its first new ship in a decade, the Oceania Vista, and cruise editor Andrea Zelinski was one of the first onboard. The ship has a contemporary design style, especially on the upper decks, where a newly-designed pool area has large tanning ledges and round lounge beds. We also took note of the Toscana restaurant, outfitted in fun yet muted yellows. Giada de Laurentiis, an Emmy-winning food personality and godmother of the ship, will join Oceania Cruises President Frank Del Rio at the ship’s christening Monday.
Airlines editor Robby Silk here. Electric air taxi company unveiled its prototype 4-seat flyer Midnight on Wednesday. Next stop, an vertiport near you. Early in the day the company also test flew its two-seat unmanned proving craft, Maker. Pretty cool.
