This a statement from owner, Jim the Boss.

I've been off Facebook for a few days. So excuse my silence but I have chosen to mute myself and listen to the people that have long been subjected to injustices in a country that touts freedom and "all men are created equal." I'm clearing the way for them to have all the space they need to do and say what they need to do and say.

I see a lot of friends, acquaintances and colleagues in the reggae world urging others to speak up. People like me who aren't black and/or aren't Jamaican. So, this is my statement.

The current corrupt governments will try everything they can to divide the people. The people are a powerful weapon. They will infiltrate your movements, they will use their fellow corrupt friends to plant the seeds of divide. They will use every tool to see that you are divided and fight amongst yourselves. An organization can't work if they don't have a common goal and can't work together.

No one is born racist, I've never met a child that sees a difference between rich or poor, black or white, Republicans vs Democrats, this vs that. That behavior is learned. The very fact that we must say "black and white" is the very definition of divide. We are perpetuating that divide that all of us have planted within ourselves. I have said that and thought that to. From this point forward. I will refer to my fellow country men and women as people, as Americans. We must overcome that hate that is perpetrated by governments, states, media, corporations. The elite that run the world want to keep us divided, want to keep us poor, working and slaving for the rest of our lives to keep themselves fed and keep their families for generations to come as the leaders with limitless powers. This is why the ghettos are still ghettos and look the same every 4 years when a new president walks through the door of the White House. This is why state budgets go to favor one area over the others and those people never get the equal opportunities that others have. To get out from underneath all of that. To have the guidance and the reinforcement to overcome the thought of oppression so they can move forward and better themselves.

So they will leave the bricks on the street corners, and dress up like protestors and break windows. All to discredit you and make you look bad. Report on the news all about the looting and nothing about what is really happening. That people are coming together as one and standing up for the silenced. That neighbors are guarding community businesses, all American people banding together and unifying against the corrupt police force that walks by while you are cowering in fear on the ground and nonchalantly spray you in the face with pepper spray or shoot you in the head point blank with a rubber bullet.

Despite all of that. This is the most ground gained ever. Things are already happening. More so than ever. But there has to be leaders and direction must be taken to ensure that we all dont go home thinking we won and have to come back out the next time a police officer murders someone. Change must come this time. Real change!

Having said all of that. Change can't only come from reorganizing police departments. We need to have 1 on 1 with people. Ever heard of winning the hearts and minds? We need TO STOP CANCELLING PEOPLE. Unfriending someone on Facebook doesn't make them go P**F! and they're gone from existence. They are still there, with the same attitude and ideas. This causes resentment. This causes their false outlooks to only become stronger. If you really want the change, we need to sit down with these people, off of Facebook, in person and have a dialog. Show them that there are no differences or divides. Stop calling them out publically, stop cancelling them and unfriending them. If they still won't listen after a dialog. Keep trying. If you get to a point that they won't budge. Then f**k em. Most people can see the light. Just ask Daryl Davis. He's never stop trying and he continues to this day. I have already been cancelled a few times by people that I felt were wrong and were spreading facist propaganda. I still tried and will continue to try. I won't call them out. Put them in danger from riled up people. Sorry, this is not the answer.

In order to beat racism we need to look from within ourselves and find every way to revert these ideas that have been pounded into our brains over generations and generations. We need to get into the government and change it from within. We need to stop playing into the reality circus and stop voting for people that have no clue what the people are really struggling with. Change has to come from within. Imagine if people like us all held government and state positions. Remove this FASCIST GOVERNMENT that doesn't stand up for their people. When I say people. I mean you and I. From the president all the way to your local sheriff.

That is my statement. Please no arguements or comments. I have voiced my opinion. If you want to talk these points with me. I personally know about 95 percent of each and everyone of you. My phone is on. My door is open. Thank you.
