May is cystic fibrosis awareness month. Everyday, I am beating the odds. When I was born in 1997, the life expectancy was 31, now in 2026, the life expectancy is 65, some well into their 70s. There is still no cure for CF, but I don’t let numbers define how many years I have left to live, God does.
But, to change up my post, let me share some beating the odds moments that some take for granted that took place on the side of hospitalizations and doctor appointments.

2.) Circa 2016 - I got my drivers license!
3.) Went to prom with my hyena .
4.) Performed , not once but twice. Performing 35MM probably challenged me the most as an artist.
5.) Circa 2016 closed a beautiful chapter of choir days with senior competition.
6.) Class of 2016 - graduated high school with my n***y
7.) Starting advocating for CF more theology social media, singing the national anthem for football events, and volunteering. (SOUND ON)
8.) Was introduced to surfing with by my big sister, Melissa.
9.) Began to connect with more CFers who became family.
10.) Volunteered - miss it everyday.
11.) Changes majors from Psychology and changed schools.
12.) Class of 2023!! Graduated with Cinematic Arts & Technology with an emphasis in script supervising and producing.

15.) Premiered my third short film exactly one year after graduating college. Thank you to my incredible cast and crew!
