This was one of the very first pieces of advice I remember seeing that got me truly interesting in marketing. The simple fact that we have the choice about what to offer our readers is a big one; will we bring a smile, inspire, educate, or enlighten?

Everything we do - each piece of information we put out there - must have value and meaning.

How do we really see people? Do we see them as individuals, meaning each conversation or type of communication will vary, or do we have a single expectation in our minds?

I've been thinking about this lately; how we may expect folks to speak or act in a manner similar to ours, and then if they do not, perhaps we become disappointed or disillusioned. Since we are all al uniquely different, maybe the secret lies in taking people as they are, rather than as we expect?

Today is Midsummer Eve! 💐 Even though summer has just begun, tomorrow marks the midpoint of the growing season, halfway between planting and harvest. (The summer solstice on June 21 is the astronomical start of summer.)

Midsummer is traditionally known as one of four “Quarter Days” in some cultures. Celebrations for Midsummer typically begin on Midsummer Eve, when dancing, feasting, bonfires, and general merrymaking are hallmarks of the night!
