At 10,500 watts, WQSU is the most powerful student-run college radio station in the state of PA. Thinking and acting locally is what WQSU is all about! Our students and staff are proud to support our local businesses and community events with awareness campaigns, live broadcasts, giveaways and social media engagement. The operation of WQSU-FM serves two separate and distinct purposes. The first is mandated by the Federal Communications Commission, and that is to serve the public interest. The second is to serve Susquehanna University in its educational mission by training students in various forms of broadcasting principles and operations, and to serve as a media outlet for Susquehanna University. WQSU is live and local 24/7 from Susquehanna University. Our coverage area includes nine counties. Mondays-Fridays consist of the station's format of modern and alternative rock. Throughout the week there are specialty shows of many other genres including classic rock. Saturday programming consists of country and bluegrass. Sundays have a variety of specialty programming including blues, techno, Susquehanna University's church service, classical, and the Grateful Dead. WQSU also airs a wide variety of news and sports coverage.

🔔 Reminder for Selinsgrove residents and business owners!

The Union Alley entrance from W Pine Street to Gelnett Way will be closed tomorrow Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from approximately 11:00am – 1:00pm. Residents and businesses will still have access to the parking areas along the remaining portion of Union Alley between Gelnett Way and W Chestnut Street.

The Selinsgrove Borough is participating in the WNEP annual Go Joe Charity Ride Event fundraising for St. Joseph’s Center. WNEP Meteorologist, Joe Snedeker, will be at The Commons around noon. 🚴

If you are around and would like to stop over at The Commons to say hello to Joe or just visit with the community, we welcome you to join us at the event!

The Rudy Gelnett Music Series is starting up over the summer! Every Tuesday and Thursday nights you can listen to blues and jazz down at the Commons in downtown Selinsgrove. Concert time is 6:30-8:00 pm. Bring a lawn chair and join us for an evening of beautiful music!

All performances are held in the Commons.

In the event of inclement weather, performances will be moved to the Selinsgrove MOOSE located at 40 W Spruce St.

WQSU serves approximately one-third of the state of Pennsylvania with a variety of music, news, information, public affairs and sports programming 365 days a year. At 10,500 watts, WQSU is the most powerful student-run college radio station in the state of PA. Thinking and acting locally is what WQSU is all about! Our students and staff are proud to support our local businesses and community events with awareness campaigns, live broadcasts, giveaways and social media engagement. The operation of WQSU-FM serves two separate and distinct purposes. The first is mandated by the Federal Communications Commission, and that is to serve the public interest. The station operates on two different schedules: The regular schedule, which runs during the school year, operates from 9 A.M. until 2 A.M. During school breaks, including the summer, the station operates from noon until 2 A.M. When the station is not programming live from its studios, the station rebroadcasts WVIA-FM programs, including some National Public Radio, or uses the automation system. Included with WVIA’s classical format are a variety of popular shows, such as Morning Edition, A Prairie Home Companion and Car Talk. Programming Mondays-Fridays consist of the station's format of modern and alternative rock. Throughout the week there are specialty shows of many other genres including classic rock. Saturday programming consists of country and bluegrass. Sundays have a variety of specialty programming including blues, techno, Susquehanna University's church service, classical, and the Grateful Dead. WQSU also airs a wide variety of news and sports coverage.
