Congresswoman Terri Sewell held a press conference Monday at the Selma Area Food Bank to discuss ways families can get access to food in the Black Belt region while SNAP benefits are unfunded by the federal government. Sewell was joined by Ryan Johnson, director of Selma Area Food Bank, and Chris Spencer, CEO of Black Belt Community Foundation. Both agencies are taking funds to expand food giveaway options.
