THREE PEOPLE HOSPITALIZED AFTER TWO VEHICLE TRAFFIC COLLISION- Selma, Calif.

Just before 10:00 p.m. on 3-14-2026, the CHP Fresno responded to reports of a two-vehicle traffic collision on southbound Highway 43 at Mountain View Avenue.

Upon arrival, first responders located a Hyundai Elantra with major front-end damage that had collided with a Chevy Pickup truck and a pole. Three occupants were reported inside the Elantra. Two of the occupants were transported with moderate injuries to Community Regional Medical Center, while a third occupant sustained minor injuries and was also transported for evaluation.

The occupants of the Chevy Pickup were not injured.

The cause of the collision, and whether drugs or alcohol were factors, remains under investigation by the CHP Fresno.

FIREFIGHTERS CONTAIN EARLY MORNING RESIDENTIAL FIRE - Selma, Calif.

Shortly before 6 a.m. on 3-3-2026, crews with the Selma Fire Department were called to a reported structure fire at the intersection of Orange Avenue and Tucker Street.

Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and visible flames coming from the rear of the residence. They immediately launched an interior attack and were able to bring the fire under control, stopping it from spreading to neighboring properties.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. No injuries were reported.

Handlers proudly showcased their four legged partners incredible abilities in obedience, agility, and bite work all with an amazing amount of support and energy from the crowd. 🐾👏

Great work to all the teams who represented with professionalism and dedication! Thank you to the Fresno Sheriff’s K-9 unit for putting together an awesome event!

MOTORCYCLE RIDER HOSPITALIZED AFTER HIGH SPEED CHASE ON HWY 99 - Reedley, Calif.

Just after 11:00 p.m. on February 21, 2026, officers with the California Highway Patrol attempted to stop a blue Kawasaki motorcycle with a single male rider.

The rider fled from officers at speeds exceeding 120 mph while traveling southbound on Highway 99. The pursuit began in the city of Fresno and continued through the cities of Fowler and Parlier.

The pursuit ended in the city of Reedley at the intersection of I Street and 13th Street. The rider reportedly ran a red light and collided with a red Chevrolet Malibu.

First responders treated the motorcycle rider at the scene before transporting him to a local hospital with moderate injuries. The occupants of the Chevrolet Malibu were not injured.

No additional details are available at this time.

During the early morning hours, on Sunday, November 30, 2025, Parlier Police Officer Jesus Dario Corona, twenty-nine years old of The Porterville area was on his way to work and was involved in a traffic collision and unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
