Tennesseans have until November to file taxes due to the disasters in Middle and West Tennessee.

#2 Adams Extended area damage. Many homes just totally destroyed. Some injuries reported by the thankfully no deaths reported. These folks will all need support to start over. Please register with the American Red Cross 1-800-Ref-Cross at the Selmer Community Center for help and the Ag Event Center.

Spoke to Nicky Robinson today at his home on Adams Extended, Selmer which got hit hard by the April 3 tornado. He was at work when his home was hit. Thankfully his girlfriend and three children who were at home were ok. They took shelter in the bathroom and survived. Many of their neighbors homes were totally destroyed with some injured but no fatalities. I will include some photos in another post to follow. Nicky shared how amazing it has been to see the outpouring of people and neighbors coming together during this tragedy. He feels blessed and this has changed his perspective on life.

World Center Kitchen will be here a few more days at the Selmer Farmer’s Market for a noon lunch and 5:00 ish dinner. Pick up and delivery still going. We are so grateful to the chefs. Part of this crew left for Kentucky yesterday to serve communities in disasters. We will never forget their service here in McNairy County.
