So hot, our buddy Earl decided to cool off the only way he knew how… 😳

Yup. Skinny dipping in Lake Keowee.
No shirt, no shoes, no shame.

Just as Earl’s enjoying the “natural breeze,” a pontoon full of tourists floats by like it’s the Jungle Cruise at Disney.

📸 They started snapping pics like they’d spotted Bigfoot!
And Earl? He waved like a pageant queen and shouted,
“Welcome to the Carolinas, y’all!”

We’re not saying skinny dipping is the answer…
But it did earn Earl $5 in tips and a free Gatorade.

The WW1 Soldier Flag Presentation of Private William Littleton is tonight at
5:30 pm at First Baptist Church of Salem, SC

On Tuesday July 15th at 5pm following the Salem Town Council Meeting Mayor Towe will be accepting the original flag that was draped over Private Littletons casket (killed in action WWI, 1918) from his family. The Mayor will then present it to the Oconee Military Museum where it will go with the exhibit honoring their sacrifice . After that everyone will go to the Salem First Baptist Cemetery where Private Homer Eugene Bryant and Private William Christopher Littleton lay at rest side by side. Both young men were killed in action in Europe in 1918. The Town is inviting everyone to come out and show your support as taps will be played at the cemetery. If you would like please bring small flags to place on their graves. These brave young men may not be a part of your family but they still died for your freedom.

Greetings on this Monday evening. Currently sunny 107.9 is off the air due to an Internet issue at our studio our studio Internet provider Up Country fiber currently has an outage in the Westminster and Seneca area and it has taken us off the air, we will be back on the air just as soon as Internet connectivity is restored at our studio in SENECA. This is also affecting our own online stream as well.
