Westminster City Hall says the long awaited Downtown Streetscape Improvment Project will begin soon!

Westminster City Council awarded the $2,158,005 contract to Foothills Construction at their October 14th meeting. This project is being funded through a grant, and the grant issuing agency is currently reviewing the project. Once the review is complete and approved, The City and Foothills Contracting will begin working together to make a construction schedule.

The first phase of the Downtown Streetscape will focus on the 200 block of East Main Street (Bill's block) with new sidewalks, plazas, and trees. The Grey Street underpass will be closed to vehicle traffic and the majority of the area will be filled in with a pedestrian walkway to remain, allowing people to walk from Main Street to North Avenue and back.
