We just got this word from the folks at Seymour Project Graduation 2025:

Unfortunately we are going to have to cancel the Softball Tournament due to incoming weather. We will be moving the fish fry to May 3rd at the baseball field and serve fish along with other concessions during the High School baseball game. We will start serving at noon.

Results are in for a pair of key Seymour city and school races.

In the city’s South Ward, Doug Denney is the new alderman. He defeated incumbent Nadine Crisp 91 to 70.

For a pair of seats on the Seymour R-II Board of Education, there were four candidates.

Incumbent Ashley Kelley kept her seat with 292 votes. The other winner was Dusty Capon with 255 votes. Other candidates included Dustin Wierman (216 votes) and Kreg Akers (201 votes).
