So, I see these discussions happening a lot on a lot of different bands/musicians facebooks posts.

They say “hire someone to make them or learn to make them yourself” and some slack jawed Neanderthals with an AI nerd b***r will be like “not everyone can afford to pay an artist and their circumstances may be different” and yada yada yada.

Listen, I understand times are hard. Hell, I spent 70 bucks to fill my gas tank and spent the same amount of money previously for less groceries. I get it. But if you’re gonna be in this business and you still have affordability issues, LEARN to make them. It’s on god incredibly easy. And if you have a disability that prevents you from making a flyer, I’m sure there’s someone out there who would help you.

I’ve provided examples of flyers I’ve done over the years for shows I put together. Granted the first flyer was a little too long, but we still made it work. I didn’t know what a good layout for a flyer consisted of. I didn’t think to ask bands for PNG files of their logos. I didn’t even really draw any of this. I searched for (hopefully) royalty free art for the background and edited it a little. I used base fonts and an online background remover for the logos. Once you figure out how to do those things you could honestly whip up flyers real quick if you needed.

I’ve also done a flyer or two for others at no cost. There are people out there who will help you and/or work with you if you ask.

Just take an hour and learn how to use canva and I promise you’ll be GOLD!
