🎙️ In The Studio with Jim Profitt🎙️

We were excited to have Jim Profitt in the studio working on a brand-new album, his very first solo project! Jim has been a part of the Chapel Valley family for more than 20 years, dating back to the early days of the company. Over the years, he has built lasting relationships with the team and has been a faithful voice in Gospel music ministry.
With a target release date of mid-August, Jim is bringing a collection of songs that are both deeply personal and powerfully encouraging. 👏

Two songs in particular stand out to him. “Take Mine” tells the story of surrendering your heart completely to God and being willing to follow His calling. “Give It One More Chance” speaks to those facing fear, doubt, depression, anxiety, and overwhelming circumstances, reminding listeners that hope can still be found even in life's darkest moments. ☀️

Having walked through tremendous challenges in his own life, Jim's desire is simple: to share the faithfulness of God and encourage others through the message of Jesus Christ. As he puts the finishing touches on this upcoming project, his prayer is that these songs will reach those who are hurting and point them to the firm foundation found in God's Word. 🙌

🎶 Feature Friday: Meet The Band 🎶
We are honored, this week, to feature the incredibly talented Tony Dingus!👏🎶

For over 31 years, Tony has been sharing his musical gifts with Chapel Valley—playing sessions and helping our artists achieve excellence. “The Roarks have been so good to me, and I am so thankful for them,” Tony states. 😊

Tony began his musical journey on bass guitar when he was around 12 years old. Shortly after that, he picked up the mandolin and dobro, and when it came to the dobro, he was “hooked.” 🎸🔥 He fell in love with the steel guitar at a Saturday Night Sing where a group featured it, and for his 16th birthday, his parents purchased him a student model. To this day, dobro and steel guitar remain his main instruments. 🎵

This year marks Tony’s 48th year of playing music, and he says he is still “always learning something new.” 🙌

Growing up with parents who sang in a quartet and kept music playing on the radio constantly, Tony was surrounded by musical influence from an early age. 🎶 He loves playing studio sessions as well as recording overdubs from his home studio. He also plays with the Gospel group, “Joey Strickler and Company.”

When asked what advice he would give to those beginning their music careers, Tony shared: “Young musicians, hang in there. I would get frustrated, turn my steel amp off, go outside for a few minutes, then come back and turn it on again—so don’t give up. In the ’70s, we didn’t have YouTube like we do now, and that can be a lot of help as well!” 💯🎸

🎶 Feature Friday: MEET THE BAND 🎶

We are delighted to shed some light on the incredible Burton Akers this week! 👏

Burton has been using his God-given musical abilities for most of his life. Before he began his current work playing bass in studio sessions, writing charts, and sharing his expertise in arranging and editing, his journey started on the guitar. He then went on to play trombone in high school and college—then professionally as a touring musician. He has played in numerous bands as well as explored club and theater work. 🎸

When asked what inspired him to pursue music as a lifelong career, Burton states, "It was a foregone conclusion for me. I never considered doing anything else."

When describing the impact music had on his life in the spiritual sense, Burton shared that he strongly feels it is his calling; he doesn't know what he would do if music was not in his life. 🙌

"Learn all you can, practice often and never loose the fun of learning something new. Always keep an open mind to other styles, and just have fun. It all makes the difference," Burton advises.

We are thankful for Burton and the difference he has made in the musical presentations of our artists! 👏🎶🙌

A NEW ALBUM is in the works for Eternal Vision! 🎉👏 They have been in the studio with the band for the tracking process! We can't wait for ya'll to hear it!

🎶 FEATURE FRIDAY: MEET THE BAND 🎶
This week, we’re shining the spotlight on the incredibly talented Johnathan Presnell! 🥁🔥

Johnathan officially started playing drums at just 5 years old… but if you ask him, the journey really started long before that with lampshades and pots around the house! 😉

Over the years, Johnathan has shared his talents with groups such as Perfect Heart, Karen Peck and New River, and The Roarks before bringing his skills to sessions at Chapel Valley. 🙌

Growing up surrounded by music played a huge role in shaping who he is today. With a dad who sang and played in bands his entire life, along with the influence of his Pap and Uncle David, Johnathan had what he calls “extreme access to music — and more importantly, drums!” 🥁

When asked what advice he would give to other musicians, Johnathan shared: “Listen to everyone… There is something to be learned from everything you hear — good or bad… sometimes the bad is fun!”

For Johnathan, music is more than just notes and rhythms — it’s joy. Whether it’s an old country tune or something modern and complex, he simply loves to play. Spiritually, he sees music as a gift from God and considers it a joy to use that gift to glorify Him. 🙌

We’re thankful for Johnathan’s talent, heart, and passion for music! 🎵🙌

Feature Friday: Meet the Band – Shane Roark 🎶

This week, we are super excited to launch a new series of Feature Fridays, and to feature someone we all know and love — Shane Roark!! 👏

With many years of experience under his belt, Shane is not only a seasoned artist but also the Co-founder of Chapel Valley Recording Studios. His journey began early, playing his very first studio session at just 19 years old! 🎶

Shane’s talents span across producing, songwriting, singing, composing and playing music, and his years on the road touring with his family group, The Roarks, have helped shape his well-rounded artistry. Known for his incredible attention to detail and relentless pursuit of excellence, Shane has become a trusted mentor to hundreds of artists striving to succeed in their craft, and has been the beginning of lasting change and growth in their careers.

With hundreds of songs to his credit—including multiple chart-topping #1 hits—his impact on the music world is undeniable. But beyond all the giftings and sharpened skill, Shane will tell you his greatest joy is spending quality time with his family, his children, and his grandson.

When he’s not in the studio, you might find him in the kitchen, cooking up something new or exploring other creative outlets. His life is a testament to what God can do when we put Him first and walk in the anointing He’s placed on our lives.

We are truly blessed to have him! 🙌
