Same things goes for Shawano and surrounding counties. The administration lines are secondary priority. If you have an emergency, CALL 911!

We have been receiving a lot of calls on the administrative lines for ambulances. If you need an ambulance, call 911. The “non-emergency” administrative lines are answered secondary and can be put on hold immediately to take priority over emergency work going on. So if you need an ambulance, for any reason, PLEASE CALL 911. This also goes for requests for the Fire Department.

🚗🦌 CAR VS. DEER FAQS 🦌🚗

It’s that time of year again! Deer are becoming much more active, which means we’ll start seeing an increase in car vs. deer crashes on our roadways. Please take a moment to read the following information on how our office responds to these incidents:

✅ You do NOT need to call us if:

-The deer is off the roadway or not injured
-There are no injuries to the vehicle’s occupants
-Your vehicle does not require a tow

In these cases, we encourage you to complete a self-reporting crash through the Wisconsin DOT website:

🚨 Please call us if:

-Anyone is injured
-Your vehicle is disabled, blocking traffic, or needs a tow
-The deer is injured or needs to be removed from the roadway

In those cases, we will respond, gather information, and complete a crash report.

We understand it may not always be ideal, but during this time of year, we simply don’t have the resources to respond to every single car vs. deer crash.

Drive safely, stay alert, and enjoy the fall season!

Just a reminder. Especially chimneys. This is a huge fire hazard. Get it checked for cracks, cleaned out and other issues

As temperatures get lower, now is the time to get your furnace, chimney, or heating equipment checked out by a professional.

This ensures it works efficiently and there are no malfunctioning parts that could cause fires or carbon monoxide poisoning.

PUBLIC SAFETY ALERT - AI HOMELESS MAN TIK TOK TREND

This national trend uses AI to create fake images of a homeless person inside someone’s home to scare family or roommates. We did respond to one of these calls earlier in the day.

⚠️ While it may seem like a joke, this “prank” isn't funny and can:
-Cause panic
-Lead to dangerous or violent reactions
-Waste emergency resources

📣 Parents: Please talk to your kids about the real consequences of these trends. What seems funny online could have serious emotional and or legal consequences.
