Meet the unpaid employee! Hi Everyone! My name is Ger, the maybe cofounder of Our Home Essence? I started washing dishes and feeding the starter for the bakery out of pure luck. It’s very satisfying to see a clean sink without dishes. I definitely do enjoy the fresh smell of Bakery. It makes me enjoy the little things in life. (The bread crumbs on the floor I have to sweep up later). All jokes aside but I am truly bless and proud of how much work and effort my wife has invested. I am very proud of you. Keep up the great job. I’m here to support you 100%. Love you

✨ Meet the Baker! ✨

Hi everyone! I’m Mai Shoua, the face and hands behind Our Home Essence Bakery! 👋🥖

I started this bakery out of a pure love for the art of baking—specifically the magic of slow-fermented, crusty sourdough bread and sweet sourdough goodies. There is nothing quite like the smell of fresh bread and I wanted to share that warmth and comfort with all of you.

We operate a preorder model and sell at the farmers market, meaning everything you order is baked fresh just for you!

🤍 Some quick facts about me:
-When i’m not baking, you can usually find me in my garden
-I have a full time job aside from baking
-I have 3 awesome kids (Ages 7, 6, 3) Yes, I’m a busy mama! 😄
-Always down for an adventure/traveling/outdoor camping!

How are you dealing with this summer heat? Yesterday 2 of our chickens passed away from heat stroke. With quick reaction, we added shade cover, a fan, and a tub filled with ice water. Hopefully this will help them to stay cool and fight against the heat.
