Pastor Carter here - I’m going in for open-heart surgery tomorrow morning, I’m told it will be about a 6-8 hour surgery and my daughter Kate will post an update tomorrow letting you know how everything is going.

I so appreciate the outpouring of love and prayers. My heart surgeon asked if I was nervous and I told him no, because all things work together for good for those who love God and called according to his purpose. He asked me to repeat it again. I repeated it again I told him it was a scripture found in Romans 8:28. He then asked me to write it down so he could hang it on his wall and have all of his staff and patients read it. After a lengthy spiritual discussion, he said to me, “has anyone ever told you that you have a great voice for radio?” I told him a few people have, yes :)
