The Pisgah National Forest offers many service roads and access points to explore nature more thoroughly and enjoy the waterfalls and caves that are further within this geological wonderland!!! Wild !!!! Here in the of upper South Carolina hides a rare scientifically named , but locals refer to as the !!! These highly elusive babies grow in boggy, high acidic conditions called … and there aren’t many here at the !!!! We feel so blessed to have found such a rare patch in the middle of the vast hills and forests!!!

Going back to McCain for the third and probably final time sadly… it’s still patrolled pretty good and it’s also in really bad shape!!! Between vandals and the elements, this once beautiful building has fallen beyond repair and almost beyond recognition. Goodbye old friend..
