My bathrooms. Fairly positive I still have toys stuck to my shower from this morning because my son wanted me to have them.

You might see their toys everywhere and think “oh what a mess”

But that mess is their childhood.
That mess is their imagination.
That mess is them learning, practicing new skills, expanding their brain.

It might be a mess to you, but it’s a world for them.

A world only they can understand and live in.

Let them live in it, for as long as they can, until the real world takes that time away from them.

The car garage resurfaced. I had to move due to some shelving coming in but it’s a great way to keep those toy cars organized. It’s an Amazon find. I will try to post the link when I can!

My kiddos are loving these and posters -I love how there is a and flow sequences for my kiddos. They love the pictures of the Sesame Street characters and acting out the poses. I’ve really enjoyed introducing them to yoga at such a young age.

My last vacation before I become pregnant with my son was a European trip for my 40th birthday. I went to Prague, Berlin and Vienna right before the world shut down due to COVID. 😷 I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that some days I miss that version of myself .. the one who was free to do and go wherever I wanted, whenever I wanted. 💗🍷To be perfectly honest, today was a tough travel day with two toddlers. Plane delays, delays with rental car, Fourth of July traffic, running out of snacks with hungry kids, tired tantrums, etc. There were moments today that I didn’t feel that I could string together complete sentences for an adult conversation much less hear myself think. 😩My vacations look a lot different now than the girl who’d fly to Bali, Thailand, and Brazil.. in this era, a great splash pad and a nice patio and a cup of coffee make a great vacation. 💦 Sometimes I wonder if the girl who’d take an overnight train to Venice is still there or if this is just a different chapter in her story. ❓I think sometimes this is the hardest thing about motherhood - you lose a version of yourself to gain another. 💗 For now, this is what my hotel rooms look like I and I wouldn’t change a thing.. 🧸📚

I just got home. House is clean. Kids are on their way. It’s quiet. Should I 1️⃣sit a do nothing, 2️⃣ crochet, 3️⃣ read a book, 4️⃣ meditate, 5️⃣ open up Amazon boxes or 6️⃣ just enjoy a few moments of peace before chaos ensues…

I’ve been having bed routine struggles with this one.. late nights make it hard for mama to have the old “Miracle Morning” that I can’t seem to grab ahold of again. 🌞 Everything has a season, I suppose. This season is full of kiddie pools, toddler snuggles, swim lessons, and many other blessings but I have lost my early morning bullet journaling, reading, and deep work at 5am where I used to write books, teach law school classes and work for clients... ⏰ Every Ying has a Yang. There is a summer to balance every winter. And one day I will miss these late night trips to the kitchen to get goldfish because a “tummy is rumbling.” 🥰 To every working parent out there trying to do whatever they can to get through their day…
