📸 Our agency’s history is filled with unique partnerships and stories of discipline. One example is Sub-Post “Tip Top,” located inside Fort Knox in the early 1950s. Tip Top had originally been a small community and railroad stop that was later absorbed into Fort Knox.
This post was shared by both Kentucky State Police and the U.S. Army, where many of our Troopers were WWII veterans themselves. Commissioner Charles Oldham established a policy requiring Troopers to show full military courtesy on site, an enduring reminder of the respect, professionalism, and commitment to service that continues to define KSP today.
