As a reminder, the FAA will be ending its Discretionary Enforcement Policy for Remote ID compliance on March 16, 2024. Radio-controlled operators must then comply with Remote ID requirements through Standard Remote ID, use of a broadcast module, or by flying at a FRIA site. Have you ever installed the firewall and then realized that you haven’t first installed the blind nuts? There’s a solution. Feed music wire through the firewall from the front until it exits the tank bay; then slip the blind nut onto the wire and follow it with a wheel collar, which you tighten securely. Using pliers, pull the nut into place on the wire and securely embed the prongs by tightening the screw (and washer) from the front of the firewall.
