ICE detained a 2-year-old girl and her father in Minneapolis on Thursday around 1 pm when they were returning home from the store.
The agents refused to allow the father to bring his daughter to the mother or other family members who were “waiting terrified inside the home”.
At that point, the father and his child were placed in the back of an ICE vehicle, which did not have a car seat.
By the evening, a federal judge had ordered the girl be released. But federal officials instead put of them on a plane heading to a Texas detention center.
The child is out of detention as of Friday afternoon, and recovering from this horrific ordeal.
This should have never happened. The little girl was flown to Texas despite a court order.
