Demolition work at the old Acme Power Plant building has been going on for about 2 weeks. The building shut down in 1976 and is being demolished as part of reclamation in the area. Cleaning crews were able to remove between 85-90% of the asbestos inside the building.

The Sheridan County Library System is seeing record participation in its Summer Reading Program as readers of all ages are invited to take part in this year’s dinosaur-themed adventure.

Sheridan County Library System Director Amy Long and Youth Services Manager Zola Shockley appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse and said the program began in mid-June but everyone is invited to join the program at any time.
