Robert De Niro was born on August 17, 1943, in New York City, into an artistic family. He began his career in the 1960s and rose to prominence with roles in Bang the Drum Slowly (1973), Mean Streets (1973), and especially The Godfather Part II (1974), which earned him an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. He continued to impress with Taxi Driver (1976), Raging Bull (1980 – Best Actor Oscar), Goodfellas, Casino, Heat, The Irishman (2019), and Killers of the Flower Moon (2023). Beyond acting, he co-founded the Tribeca Film Festival, the global Nobu restaurant chain, and is a vocal advocate for social justice, arts education, and climate action. With over 60 years of dedication, De Niro stands as a living icon of cinematic excellence and civic responsibility.

Donald Trump, scrambling to divert attention away from the Epstein files, on Wednesday demanded an "immediate investigation" into what he claimed was "triple sabotage" during his United Nations visit on Tuesday, citing a stopped escalator and a teleprompter that wasn"t working.

"A REAL DISGRACE took place at the United Nations yesterday — Not one, not two, but three very sinister events!," he posted on his social media platform, saying he was sending a letter to U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres.

Jane Elliott (born November 30, 1933) is an American diversity educator. As a schoolteacher, she became known for her "Blue eyes/Brown eyes" exercise, which she first conducted with her third-grade classon April 5, 1968, the day after the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. The publication of compositions which the children had written about the experience in the local newspaper led to much broader media interest in it.

The classroom exercise was filmed in 1970, becoming the documentary The Eye of the Storm. PBS series Frontline featured a reunion of the 1970 class, as well as Elliott"s work with adults, in its 1985 episode "A Class Divided". Invitations to speak and to conduct her exercise eventually led Elliott to give up school teaching and to become a full-time public speaker against discrimination. She has directed the exercise and lectured on its effects in many places throughout the world. She also has conducted the exercise with college students, as seen in the 2001 documentary The Angry Eye.

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker has publicly called for invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Donald Trump from office, citing serious concerns over Trump"s mental health and his recent suggestion to use cities like Chicago as "training grounds for our military." Pritzker stated, "There is something genuinely wrong with this man, and the 25th Amendment ought to be invoked," adding that he believed Trump"s rhetoric and proposals resembled authoritarian tactics and raised constitutional alarms.
