**AITA for refusing to pay for my brother’s wedding?**

My younger brother is getting married in a few months. He and his fiancée planned a very expensive wedding, even though neither of them has much savings.

A few weeks ago, my brother called me and asked if I could pay for the photographer because “I’m the one in the family who can afford it.”

I told him I was happy for him, but I wasn’t comfortable paying for a wedding I had no part in planning.

He became upset and reminded me that I had helped our older sister financially when she got married.

I explained that I helped my sister because she was going through a difficult time and only needed a small amount. His wedding budget, however, was almost three times what mine cost.

He told our parents that I was being selfish and that I cared more about money than family.

Now my parents are asking me to reconsider because they don’t want family drama before the wedding.

I feel guilty, but I don’t think being financially responsible means I have to pay for someone else’s choices.
