Where I come from BBQ means cooking cheap sausages over a gas grill until they go totally black. After a taste of real southern BBQ I'm on a quest to perfect the art of low and slow. I'm sharing everything on my journey from amateur to pitmaster.

These burgers are simple, smoky, and next-level juicy.

We’re skipping the sear and letting the smoke do all the heavy lifting. The result? A ridiculously tender burger with deep wood-fired flavor.

Here’s the game plan:

- Hand-formed 1/3 lb 80/20 ground beef patties
- Season with SPG (salt, pepper, garlic)—that’s all you need.
- Smoke at 225°F for 60–90 minutes until they hit 140°F internal.
- Top with melty cheese, optional crispy bacon, and your favorite fixings.

🔥 No flipping. No flare-ups. Just full-on smoke flavor from your pellet grill.

💭 Pro tip: Hickory or oak gives the best balance of punch and sweetness.
