On July 10, Andy Bass accepted the role to serve as South Suburban Parks and Recreation’s new executive director. Within his first year of serving South Suburban, Bass said he will focus on retaining staff and getting the district’s open positions filled. In addition to ensuring financial security, he said he wants to strengthen partner relationships with the cities and counties within the district.
