Good morning everyone I hope you’re having a nice weekend. I still have two questions that did not get very many comments last week. In fact, they only just got emojis . If you come across this post, I’m still waiting for a few responses. I had asked a couple of days ago if you are aware of which headshot your Agent submits to the casting director upon the request for submissions of a commercial..? I’m in the process of getting permission from a specific actress whose agent submitted for my current job and she also did a public submission with two completely different photos. I hope to reveal those photos to you on Monday in the meantime do you believe that your Agent is submitting the best photo of you to the casting directors ? That was my first question and my second question is do you get more auditions from public submissions or your agents submissions?

Hello Everyone Subject today SELF-TAPES. So today I started watching my self-tapes I requested for a commercial I am casting, I have a question for all of you that do Self-tapes or Virtual Auditon's. Do you actually read the notes the casting director sends that tells you what we are looking for in your Audition? I guess some casting directors may not send notes but I do. So if you get the notes do you read them? Do you follow the Direction given? Do you watch the tape back before you upload it? Im just curious. Since I put a lot of effort into my request as I want you always to be the best that you can be, so that my client is overwhelmed with GREAT SELF TAPES !! Anyway Im just curious just because these self-tapes today Im viewing more than 50% so far did not take my direction !! Please Chime in.. Im seeing a lot of self-tapes where actors skip the notes. Do you read every detail before taping? Yes or no ?

Let's talk headshots. How is your headshot working for you? Would you say that casting directors are clicking on your headshot? For a role, at least once a week? Are you submitting your headshots on public submissions? On casting networks, or are you relying 100% on your agent? And if so, which is the main headshot, your agent is using when they submit you for a project? Do you even know?

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our dear friend and colleague, Greg Brown. ( https://www.facebook.com/gregbrown69?mibextid=ZbWKwL)
For over 12 years, Greg was an integral part of Susan Turner Casting at On Your Mark Studios and Burbank Casting as well. He was more than just a casting assistant—he was our on-set PA, our set wrangler, and my hero casting assistant as well.

As well as a model, a SAG-AFTRA member, and a true master of film and commercial background work.

His passing comes far too soon. But his spirit will live on—through the films and television shows he was a part of, in the memories we hold dear, and in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Greg, you will be missed beyond words. Your presence brought light to every set, every room, and every life you touched.

And that’s a wrap. Rest in peace, Greg Brown.
