A couple of weeks ago, I sat down with Britney Barker, Executive Director of the Grayson County Children's Advocacy Center, and that conversation stayed with me. The work they do is tough, necessary, and absolutely vital for the kids in our community. They are often the first safe place a child lands after trauma and their team shows up with compassion, advocacy, and real support every single day.

Today is Giving Tuesday, and I want to shine a light on a powerful way to help them continue this mission.

The CAC is inviting the community to join the Compassion Crew, a group of monthly donors who make sure no child ever has to wait for therapy, advocacy, or medical care. Monthly giving creates stability, and stability is what these kids need most.

Compassion creates consistency.

Over the past few months, I’ve had the opportunity to work with Chani and the MME (Money Management Educators) Program, and it has been eye-opening. I’ve learned so much about financial wellness, workplace benefits, and how important it is to give people real tools to manage their money, not just talk about it.

Through this program, we’ve also started building meaningful connections with businesses and organizations who truly care about the well-being of their employees and members, not only in their work life, but in their personal life too.

Chani believes that financial wellness isn’t just about numbers, it’s about peace of mind, focus, and productivity. When employees feel secure financially, they show up stronger in every area of their lives.

MME offers no-cost financial education workshops and one-on-one sessions to help employees gain confidence, reduce financial stress, and take control of their finances.

We’re looking to connect with HR leaders, Executive Directors, CEOs, and organizations interested in bringing this valuable benefit to their employees or members.
