What does it really mean to have an excellent spirit?

It doesn’t mean being perfect. It means committing ourselves to something greater—and recognizing that there are things we simply cannot accomplish through our own strength.

This week, Bro. Seth Pomeroy joins Bro. Billy McDougal for a powerful conversation: “A Commitment to Excellence Through the Power of the Holy Ghost.”

This week on He’s Not Done Yet, Bro. Kevin Willis shares a burden that was born through years of prison ministry.

Bro. Willis has seen God do incredible things behind prison walls—lives changed, hundreds baptized, people filled with the Holy Ghost, and testimonies that only God could write.

But through it all, he began asking a difficult question:

What happens when they get out?

For many, walking out of prison doesn’t mean the struggle is over. They face broken environments, limited opportunities, and circumstances that can make starting over seem almost impossible.

After seeing that reality firsthand, Bro. Willis became convinced that there had to be another path.

That burden became A Prodigal’s Path—a vision centered on hope, restoration, and giving women coming out of incarceration a real opportunity to rebuild their lives.

Sis. Candy Holmes had nearly 30 different jobs before a season of fasting and prayer led her to Calvary Academy in 1999. What was supposed to be just six weeks became a calling, a ministry, and a place where she would impact generations of students and families.

Today marks 4 years of He’s Not Done Yet!

Four years of stories. Four years of testimonies. Four years of conversations reminding us again and again that no matter where we’ve been, what we’ve walked through, or what season of life we find ourselves in…

God is still working.

Since August 21, 2022, we’ve had the privilege of sitting down with so many incredible people who have opened their hearts and shared what God has done in their lives. Every story has been different, but the message has remained the same:

He’s Not Done Yet.

To every guest who has taken the time to share their story, thank you.

To every person who has watched, listened, shared an episode, left a comment, or encouraged someone else through these conversations, thank you.

And above all, we give God the glory for every life that has been touched and every door He has opened over these past four years.

We’re grateful for where He’s brought us, and we’re looking forward to what’s still ahead.

Because after four years and more than 200 episodes, one thing is still certain…

Who you allow to influence you can change the direction of your life.

In this episode of He’s Not Done Yet, Bro. Josh Alvarado shares how changing the people he surrounded himself with helped change the direction of his walk with God.

There was a season when Josh was going to church, but he wasn’t praying, fasting, reading the Word, or really getting involved. He found himself around the wrong influences and knew he wasn’t where he needed to be.

Then he started getting around the right people.

Young people who prayed. Godly men who encouraged him. Mentors who weren’t afraid to correct him, pray with him, and show him by example what it meant to live for God.

That influence made a difference.

Josh began praying, serving, getting involved in outreach, joining the Ambassador program, working with the tech team, and asking God:

“What can I do more for You?”

In “Being Influenced by the Right People,” Bro. Josh shares his testimony and challenges us to take a closer look at the influences in our own lives—our friendships, mentors, music, what we watch, what we read, and the voices we allow to shape us.

Who you surround yourself with matters.

The people you listen to. The friends you spend time with. The voices you allow to speak into your life. Whether we realize it or not, we are being influenced.

This week on He’s Not Done Yet, Bro. Josh Alvarado shares what happened when he realized the people around him were influencing the direction of his walk with God.

There was a season when he wasn’t praying, fasting, or reading the Word like he should. Service after service would pass while he sat in the back, rarely lifting his hands or getting involved.

Then his circle began to change.

He started spending time around young people who prayed. Godly men began speaking into his life. He became involved in serving, outreach, the Ambassador program, and the tech ministry.

And little by little, the right influences began pulling him in the right direction.

Bro. Josh’s testimony brings a challenge all of us need to consider:

Every life has a purpose. Even when grief tells you otherwise.

In this powerful episode of He’s Not Done Yet, Sis. Denise Perez shares her deeply personal testimony of faith, devastating loss, grief, and discovering that God still had a purpose for her life.

After losing her son, Leighton, Sis. Perez entered one of the darkest seasons she had ever faced. For nearly two years, she found herself simply going through the motions—going to work, going to church, coming home, and trying to keep moving forward.

There were questions. There was deep grief. There were moments when she struggled to see what purpose her life could possibly have now.

But God wasn’t finished.

Through prayer, fasting, the Word of God, and a renewed commitment to seek Him, Sis. Perez began to see that the pain she had walked through could be used to help someone else.

Today, that purpose is being lived out in part through Strength In The Journey, a grief class where she uses her own experience to help and encourage others who are navigating loss.

This is a testimony about grief, but it’s also a testimony about purpose, perseverance, faith, and learning to trust that God is still good—even when life doesn’t turn out the way we prayed it would.
