🚨 George Strait announces plans to directly help those impacted by the Texas floods and recognize first responders who saved the lives of countless members of his community with a fundraising event in Boerne, Texas at the end of this month.

“The destruction and loss in our community from the recent floods is hard to wrap your head around. Our hearts and prayers are with you all. The goal with this event is to raise meaningful, immediate support that can be put directly into the hands of flood victims without delay, while also honoring the first responders that work tirelessly to save lives. Special thanks to our friends and fellow troubadours—William Beckmann, Ray Benson, Wade Bowen, Dean Dillon, Riley Green, Randy Houser, Jamey Johnson, Kyle Park, Hudson Westbrook and members of my Ace in the Hole Band—for joining me on stage to lend their talent and their hearts to this mission.”

Donations will be collected and distributed by 501c3 Vaqueros del Mar Texas Flood Relief Fund directly benefiting those affected by the flood.

Help us help the Texas Hill Country by signing up to play in our Corn Hole Tournament at Jamboree! All proceeds (after winner payout) will be donated for flood relief, so bring a partner or come solo! Just tell all your friends to head out to Jamboree on Sunday! *We will be accepting free-will cash donations as well.

On behalf of Shiner Catholic School, our St. Paul Student Council is collecting donations to go directly to Tivy High School Student Council. The donations will be distributed to the families directly impacted by the devastation. The tragedy and loss they've endured is simply incomprehensible. Please consider your thoughts and prayers during this trying time for Kerrville and those affected by the flood.

Donations can be dropped off in the SCS front office on Mondays between the hours of 9:00-3:00. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and consideration.🙏🏻

Please mark your calendars for the 2025 Stastny Hacek Fishing Tournament this coming weekend!

Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church presents the 18th Annual Stastny Hacek Fishing Tournament. The tournament will be held July 11-12, 2025, in Rockport, Texas. This is a fundraiser to benefit the Church’s Religious Education Endowment Fund (REEF).

On Friday, July 11th, there will be check-in for Saturday’s tournament and a meal provided by the Shiner KC’s.
Events for Saturday, July 12th, include the fishing tournament (kids can also fish), weigh-in, presentation of tournament winners, and another meal provided by the Shiner KC’s.

All boots collected will be sent with the relief efforts/supplies the City of Gonzales, Texas are currently organizing. They will have more information on other ways to contribute and help. For now- let’s collect BOOTS!

SouthStar Bank has opened an account dedicated to relief efforts for the floods that took place in Kerr and Williamson counties. SouthStar Bank is pledging to match contributions up to $25,000 between both funds. Donations can be made at any of our branches. If you wish to make a contribution by check, please make it payable to SouthStar Bank.

We’ve kicked off the fundraiser with a $2,500 donation to each fund!
