From an orphanage in Latvia to Waukesha, and now the U.S. Olympic Trials, 19-year-old Finn Siebert is making a name for himself in the world of speed skating.

Finn's family adopted him at 11 years old. At 15, he tried speed skating for the first time. His family has always been super athletic, but they knew nothing about the sport until he started competing.

"I always say Finn is the bravest, most resilient kid I ever met. He came from a pretty hard background and came to a family he never met before, and changed his whole life. But God had great plans for him and still does," said Natasha Siebert, Finn's mother.

This is 18-year-old Izack Zavala.

He was identified by the medical examiner’s office as the passenger who was killed after a police chase that began in West Milwaukee on Sunday morning and ended in a fiery crash on Milwaukee’s south side at 37th and Mitchell streets.

His family said he was a 2025 Milwaukee Public Schools Alexander Hamilton High School graduate who loved soccer and would do anything to help his loved ones.
