The Pumpkin Patch at Safety Town Opens to Families

The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office will welcome families to the Pumpkin Patch at Sheriff’s Safety Town on Friday, October 9, from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Safety Town is located at 8910 Jewella, Shreveport LA 71118.

CPSO Brings Community Together for Field Day with a Cop

The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office will host Field Day with a Cop, bringing law enforcement and community partners together for a day of activities at Sheriff’s Safety Town.

The event will be held Friday, October 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sheriff’s Safety Town. Community partners are invited to participate and join CPSO for the event.

Field Day with a Cop will provide an opportunity for children to interact with law enforcement and enjoy field day activities.

Youth Law Enforcement Camp Returns for Fall Break

The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office will give young people an opportunity to explore careers in law enforcement during the Sheriff’s Next Gen Law Enforcement Academy Camp this fall break.

The camp will be held October 5 - 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Sheriff’s Safety Town, 8910 Jewella Avenue. The program is open to youth ages 8 - 17.

Kids will take part in hands-on activities designed to introduce them to different areas of law enforcement. Training and demonstrations will include advanced forensics, criminal investigations, drone operations, land navigation, defensive tactics, and fi****ms safety.

The academy is designed to provide youth with real-world experiences while giving them an inside look at the skills and responsibilities involved in law enforcement.

Registration is available by calling Sheriff’s Safety Town at 318-681-0869. Walk-ups are welcome.
