We’re a Catholic family that strives to live the principles of Humanae Vitae. In 2013, we moved into my late FIL’s old house, which was falling apart from his years of rural poverty on disability checks — a horrible construction accident had disintegrated 3 vertebrae — and we used what little mortgage money we could to make it livable so that we could grow beyond the 3 kids we had at that time. We now have 8 kids, including our little Maggie, who is in the hands of Mother Mary. Baby #8 was born this month and got out of the NICU a week ago.

We are both employed full-time and our salary provides paycheck-to-paycheck living which we are occasionally able to surpass in order to do another repair on the house, but we are just as often falling behind. I know that’s life for many of you, which is why we ask the help only of those who have been blessed financially beyond their needs.

Really, we just want to fix up the house so it will stop falling apart and then work on getting out of debt so we can be more of a blessing to others.
