The news we were dreading this week was that poor APRIL had deteriorated 💗💔😥🧡
As many of you know, last week a CT scan revealed that April had disc disease which was trapping nerves in her spine, causing her to be unable to walk at all 😥
The last ditch option was to see if she responds to an epidural injection, and were told IF this works, we will see improvements within a couple of days, but if not, we are out of options for our precious girl, and were facing defeat 😔
So it was an early morning trip to get her up to the vets on Wednesday for her procedure 🌅 Being absolutely honest, we weren't too hopeful (and left her at the vets in tears 😔) but we promised her we’d do ALL we could for her, and had to give her this chance - which is really her last chance 💔
Today she's started to show improvements - she's taken herself off outside on her own, which is a MASSIVE improvement! 🥹 It's still early days and she's still very wobbly, but we now have a glimmer of hope 💗🤞🧡
Please, please cross your fingers and paws for April. She is such a special girl and so deserves some good luck 💗🧡🤞
With the help of so many people, we have done EVERYTHING we possibly can to help April 🧡💗 We have even arranged for a gate to be fitted onto her foster homes front garden to make it a secure space for April to use, as access from the house to the front garden is flatter and easier for April to get out to 🧡 A HUGE thank you to James at Jacksons Joinery Solutions who supplied and fitted the gate for April, absolutely free of charge 🥹 What a hero! 🥹🧡🦸♂️
AND, last but not least, we now need to raise another £300 for April's procedure 🧡💗 we hate to ask again but we must raise her funds so that we can continue her treatment 🧡💗
