New kid on the block!

Sidney Fire has taken delivery of their new Fort Garry tanker.

The new truck boasts a 1,500 GPM pump(previous truck didn’t have one), increased water capacity to 2,000 gallons(previous was 1,400). This truck also replaces 2 pieces of apparatus.

New 2451 replaces the old 2451(2003 International 1,400 Gallon Tanker) and 2414(1994 Pierce Dash, 1,250/1,000).

Look for this new rig around the village of Sidney as it’s awesome in person!

Our new tanker arrived this week all the way from Winnipeg Canada The new truck has 600 more gallons of water capacity and will replace 2 trucks that are outdated.

NYSW CLX rounds through Red Rocks, PA. Along the Susquehanna is a rare daylight run of a westbound on the old Erie.

CL2 @ Red Rocks, the slope is fairly loose in spots. However, a shot at Red Rocks was always a want of mine, finally can scratch that off my list.

Camp Street, Sidney, one of the first railfan pics I've ever shot was taken here. My brother would always take the stills, I'd take the videos. 11R is seen here rolling past the siding that is now one ended, previously known as the "Sidney Long Branch" by CP crews

I took advantage of the warm weather to go railfan with some friends around the area. Saw 5 trains overall, RJ Corman and Norfolk Southern were the stars today. Below is RJC 3844 leaving Sayre.

After a friend gave me a heads up that the RJC GP38-2 would be leading the Sayre turn, I raced to Sayre to catch it. This would be my first RJ Corman unit I've ever caught on camera.

A very big congratulations to the Unadilla Fire Department with their recent delivery of their 2010 Pierce Quantum Rescue-Engine. This truck replaces 2 units and allows for cheaper upkeep and more efficient call response. Best of luck with the new rig!

I took one last trip to Goudey/AES Westover before the facility gets demolished. Due to the environmental concerns with a old building like this, security was stopping everyone that was walking along the also abandoned DL&W Vestal Spur. So these final shots will do for a iconic piece of the Johnson City skyline.
