The Sidney Herald was established in 1908 and is published twice a week, on Sundays and Wednesdays. is a small town in the Montana-North Dakota region, called the "MonDak" by locals. The region has experienced exceptional growth due to the Bakken oil boom, which is covered in the Herald's special semiannual "Tappin' the Bakken" oil and gas issue. The Herald also produces a quarterly lifestyle magazine called Bakken Living.
