My home was started in 1917 and finished in 1921. The porch is river rock. I used to drive by it when it was run down and I dreamed of fixing it. I was not fast enough.
It was moved from its original location in 2006 so sadly the entire interior was gutted. Upside, modem plumbing and electrical. Downside, monstrous paper closet doors and hollow interior doors. No more built ins. No more fireplace. I have been restoring a bit at a time for the dozen years I have owned it. I think it is a Nantucket model of the Craftsman.

Jeffersonville is on the Ohio River directly across from Louisville, KY, and it is very unique because it has the largest exposed Devonian Period fossil beds in the world! (390 million yrs!) These fossil beds have been protected since the late 1960s, (and are now a state park) but before then people would cut out the stone and use it for the construction of their homes and fireplaces. Upon closer inspection, countless fossils can be seen in the stones. There are several stone bungalows in my area, and I can post more if interested. Please enjoy!

So very excited that my neighbor helped me find a vintage photo at our public library archives that gives me a date of my craftsman. The county records has our house listed as a 1947 build but I never believed it to be true. Now I have this to show it was at least 1926. My bungalow is the one in the back right corner. The main subject house has been demolished (unfortunately what has happened to many bungalows in my area of South Tampa). But I’ve got my own bit of history:)
