I have so many emotions when I visit these beautiful people. Sometimes I need a few days to write about my visit.
This week I met an 85 year old bear. He was worn, a bit tattered and missing some of his nose. His name was Teddy and rightly so! He looked like "Teddy Bear".
I could see this was one of her most prized possesions as if he was the only one she had at her age, the only one that mattered! She lovingly told me about their history together and in my mind I was trying to picture a little girl who held onto this bear throughout her life and he was always there for him!
And even now he will be faithful and loving to the very end and they will always be together.
He was all she needed now!
We went on to meet more residents.
My favorite guy to hug, met new residents and saw lots of smiles.
Why do we do it?
This is why we do it ! And oh yeah, we now have a business card, designed by Vic Eicker!
