Fifth Annual Lavender Festival Draws Crowds to Rhumb Line Vineyard

The scent of lavender drifted across the Willcox wine country Saturday as visitors gathered for the fifth annual Lavender Festival at Rhumb Line Vineyard and Lavender Farm, a celebration that has grown from a modest experiment into one of the region's signature agritourism events.

While lavender may have been the featured attraction Saturday, but festivalgoers were nearly as colorful as the blooms. Guests arrived at Rhumb Line Vineyard dressed for the occasion, sporting wide-brimmed hats, flowing dresses, bright summer colors and vineyard-chic attire as they wandered the lavender fields during the festival.
