L&L Pro Audio and Primrose Studio

L&L Pro Audio and Primrose Studio Primrose Studio. Primrose Recording Studio in Sierra Vista, Arizona was built to provide an affordable space for local artists to track and mix their projects.

Owner Brian Gold designed and built this small 750 square foot studio from the ground up with a central focus on providing good acoustics and sound for audio recording. The studio has four rooms. The live room is the largest room in the studio and can host 4-5 piece bands in a live-recording session or can be used as a drum room. There are two isolation rooms that can be used to separate vocalists

or guitar/bass rigs. The control room holds the tracking equipment and can also be used to record vocals/instruments. There is a small assortment of gear available, including 13 Rupert Neve Designs 511 preamps connected to an Antelope Audio Orion 32 AD/DA converter with Antelope 10M clock. Mixes are tracked and summed through a Rupert Neve Designs 5060 centerpiece. There is also outboard analog gear available for equalization and compression for use during tracking or mixdown. Pro Tools 12 and Harrison Mixbus 32C are the tracking and mixing DAWs chosen for use in this studio. Since 2012 Primrose has worked on projects for talented bands like Powered Wig Machine, Fuzz Evil, Finite Fiction, Chiefs, and Warren G & The Working Man’s Band.
