After much thought and lots of scrubbing, I have decided to run these crusty OE tires on the 1986 Mongoose FS-1. I really want this bike to stay in survivor condition and all my bikes look brand new so this is something different for my collection. Someone can switch to new tires when I’m ready to sell. It’s only original once.

Soft Scrub with bleach works amazing on white parts that have been discolored. Just use a toothbrush to scrub and let it sit for 5-10 min till dry and them do it again. Probably did these 3 times and it took less than 30 minutes 🍻

I applied the Salon 50 with a paint brush, placed the Skyways into clear garbage bags, and left in the Sun for 24hrs per side. The tan/gray color is now gone. There are still some rust and red clay stains. I was trying to brighten these mags to better match the original white parts. They would probably look brand new if I did a second treatment but I’m not needing that for this build. 🍻
