Got the chance to test ride the 2026 Triumph Bonneville Bobber and the 2026 Speed Twin 1200 RS from Brea to Los Angeles, and even though they share the same Triumph DNA, they deliver two completely different experiences.

The Bobber is all about style, attitude, and presence. It turns heads everywhere and has that raw British twin character that makes cruising feel special.

But the 1200 RS instantly stood out to me. It feels more connected, aggressive, and confidence inspiring — almost like a retro street fighter disguised as a classic motorcycle. The ergonomics, suspension, brakes, and overall handling made it feel way more at home attacking corners and moving through traffic.

Best way I can describe it:
The Bobber makes you feel cool.
The 1200 RS makes you want to keep riding.

Before I even got on the 2026 Royal Enfield Shotgun 650, the looks were the first thing that grabbed me. It’s got that classic style mixed perfectly with modern touches. Coming from the Harley world, we measure bikes in cubic inches, not CCs. I’m used to triple-digit horsepower, not double digits.

But with all that being said… I had a blast riding this bike.

The ease of use is what surprised me most. The clutch is insanely smooth, the throttle is forgiving, and the brakes aren’t overly touchy or aggressive. It’s the kind of bike that instantly makes you feel comfortable and confident. What stood out the most to me was the maneuverability compared to my everyday hog. The Shotgun feels light, nimble, and easy to throw around, especially in tighter turns and city riding.

Now personally, the riding position was a little rough on my body — but that’s more on me than the bike. I’m 6ft, 280lbs, and the infantry definitely did some damage to my spine and hips over the years. I can absolutely see the average rider hopping on this thing and having an amazing time.

And honestly, that’s what I love about riding these Royal Enfields. The second I throw a leg over one, I can feel the British tea rushing through my blood and hear Big Ben chiming through my ears, almost like I’ve been teleported straight onto the roads of London.

1,800 miles.
From Southern California all the way to El Paso, Texas... and honestly, every mile had a story.
From desert highways to mountain views, sunrise rides to late-night stops - this trip reminded me why I love life on two wheels.
The road tested me, inspired me, and gave me some unforgettable moments along the way.
And somehow... we still kept the energy going back home.
That same week, we pulled up to cigar bike night at Full Throttle Moto - good people, good conversations, and bikes lined up all night.
On top of that, I’ve been creating content with some amazing industry partners, pushing creativity harder than ever and building something bigger with every ride.
And the month’s not slowing down anytime soon.
We’ve got the Royal Enfield Demo Day coming up... and the DGR ride with over 600 riders ready to hit the streets in style.
This journey’s been bigger than just miles.
It’s about community, passion, and chasing experiences that actually mean something.
And we’re just getting started.

I’ve never liked wearing clothes with protective padding. Always felt uncomfortable or just looks bulky. has some very stretchy and comfortable jeans plus their tops have removable winter liners that make it nice to wear during the hotter temps. I’m happy with their fit and finish plus they are very breathable. I wore the jeans on my trip to Texas last week and even in the 100° degree desert I was comfortable. They take a beating and you don’t feel highway rocks hitting your shins. Took the jacket out for a cold morning ride and didn’t even need the liner. Check em out!
