That evening the restaurant was full of guests: laughter, toasts, the clinking of glasses. Everything looked festive and solemn… until the doors swung open and I walked into the hall in a terry bathrobe and house slippers with pink pom-poms.
The waiter, seeing me, was at first bewildered: was it a prank, or had some crazy woman decided to sneak into the banquet? But I calmly said:
— A table under the name John Anderson, please. We’re celebrating our anniversary — fifteen years.
They led me through the whole hall, and I could feel every gaze piercing my back. The slippers slapped against the parquet, the robe swayed slightly, and the pink pom-poms bounced with every step.
My mother-in-law looked at me in total shock:
— What is this?! — she asked indignantly.
— Exactly as you said — I answered with a smile.
— But that’s not at all what I meant!
My husband sat stunned, glancing from me to his mother, clearly not understanding what was happening. I approached him, hugged him, congratulated him, and said:
— Today everything is for you, my love.
My mother-in-law, in shock, sank into her chair, pressing her head into her hands. From the outside it was clear: one thought circled in her mind — “Was it really me who caused this?”

At night, my neighbor, who is almost seventy, tried to climb over the fence. When I found out why she was desperately climbing fences and where she was rushing, I was horrified… At night, I couldn’t sleep and lay helpless in bed. I unconsciously looked out the window. Through the fog, I noticed something strange. My neighbor, who is almost seventy, with complete focus and surprising agility, was trying to climb over the fence. I froze: she had always seemed like a quiet, reasonable, and modest woman. The sight was so incredible that I couldn’t look away and decided to watch what she would do next. She jumped over her fence, then headed to mine, and skillfully climbing, ended up in my yard. It was already quite late for a visit, and besides, people don’t visit neighbors at that hour. THE LITTLE GIRL IN A PRINCESS DRESS REFUSED TO LET GO OF THE INJURED BIKER, EVEN THE POLICE COULD NOT PULL HER AWAY.
They found him lying unconscious in a ditch off Route 27, his motorcycle wrecked twenty feet away. And there she was, no older than five, singing “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” while pressing her tiny hands against the deep wound in his chest as if she somehow knew what to do.
But no one had ever taught her.
“Don’t take him!” she cried when the paramedics rushed in. “He is not ready! His brothers are not here yet!”
Everyone thought she was just in shock, confused or scared. But she would not stop insisting. “You have to wait. I promised to keep him safe until his brothers came.”
No one could understand how this little child knew he belonged to a motorcycle club… until we heard it. The roar of dozens of bikes filled the highway, growing louder every second.
Through her tears, the little girl smiled. “See? I told you. He showed me in my dream last night.”
And when the lead rider jumped off his Harley and saw her, his face turned pale. He whispered four words that made everyone freeze.
