BRISCOE COUNTY PRIMARY ELECTION RETURNS MARCH 1, 2022
In unofficial returns provided Tuesday night by the Briscoe County Clerk's office, Rank Cogdell has emerged at the top of a three-way race for county judge, to succeed retiring judge Wayne Nance, and Jared Johnson has won the Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2 race versus Paul Teegardin. SILVERTON HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 2020 parade and graduation update for Friday, May 22, with parade starting at 6 pm:

The Senior Class will be having graduation on the west side of the courthouse this Friday, May 22nd with limited seating of 2 chairs per graduate and additional viewing from within vehicles in the parking lot. The Seniors have missed a lot this year from the homecoming snake and bonfire due to weather as well as their Easter egg hunt, Senior Luncheons, Red & White banquet, UIL events, etc. We will be preceding our graduation with a "Senior Snake" parade to begin at the High School around 6:00 pm on Friday and winding the streets according to the map shown on this post. We would encourage families on the route to set up chairs, make signs and make some noise as our graduates drive by. For community members and families wishing to get a view, we would simply ask that you find a location on the route that still permits the "Snake" safe travel and cheer them on. Please keep your groups to households and maintain social distancing.
